FARMHAND
Clermont, Central Queensland

A Farmhand is required for a 8000 acre, mixed grazing and cropping enterprise situated North of Clermont. This operations runs 600 Santa Gertrudis cattle which are a mix of breeders and bullocks. Using modern plant and GPS assisted farming methods, dryland sorghum, wheat and chickpeas are grown.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Perform general farming practices associated with dryland crops including
planting and harvesting
· Carry out all facets of cattle husbandry
· Carry out general property maintenance and repairs
· Report to the Owner

Mustering is carried out using both horses and motorbikes with the occasional aid of working dogs.

The monetary component of the package will be negotiated commensurate with skills and ability. Accommodation, electricity and gas are provided.

Accommodation comes in the form of modern air conditioned, furnished single persons quarters.

This position is to commence immediately. This client is looking for a long term employee who wants to advance their farming and stock skills with a reputable employer.
